I was invited to paint a picture for the Florence Biennale 2023, which was exhibited in the entrance area. The theme of the Biennale, which took place between October 14th and October 22nd, was “I AM YOU – individual and collective Identities in Contemporary Art”. The painting titled “Coming Out” aims to embody this theme in a playful manner. A dog breaks through the gray wall of indifference and conformity. In doing so, it transforms from an inconspicuous and colorless part of society, adapted to the gray everyday life behind the wall, into a colorful rainbow-colored dog, looking into the future with confidence and joy.

This painting was auctioned at the Grazetta Licht ins Dunkel Charity Auction on December 11th, 2023 for €8.500. All proceeds from the Auction were donated to Licht ins Dunkel.
